Trying out one of our mobile homes

Annie - reception 2015

Beginning of August my family came to visit me here at Le Caussanel. They stayed in a Grand Confort (31m²) mobile home for a week, and I stayed with them. I thought it would be fun to try out a mobile home, as I spend so much time showing guests round them, but have never experienced living in one! So now I can answer any questions you might have about staying in a Le Caussanel mobile home.

What is the mobile home like?
There is a central living space with a dining table, chairs and a comfortable banquette (which also turns into a bed). Next to this is the kitchenette.
This mobile home has two bedrooms; one with a double bed, the other with two single beds. Pillows and quilts are provided. You must either bring your own sheets, or reserve them when you book your stay. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, a sink and a mirror, and there is a separate toilet.
What is the kitchen like?
The kitchen is equipped with a large fridge/freezer, sink and a gas hob. There is a kettle and a coffee machine, so whether you're a tea drinker like me, or a coffee enthusiast, you're catered for. There are plenty of saucepans, plates, bowls, cutlery, glasses, as well as a chopping board, a salad spinner and a colander. I cooked twice for my family: I made a risotto and spaghetti carbonara, and I had everything I needed for it.

Is there enough room in a mobile home for everyone and everything?
It's surprisingly spacious and doesn't feel at all cramped. There is also plenty of storage space with cupboards and shelves in every room for all your clothes, shoes, towels, books etc. Just remember to check in all the cupboards before you leave! We often find forgotten clothes and other objects during the accommodation checks at the end of people's stays.

Is there anything outside?
The mobile homes each have a terrace and a little garden, with a table, six chairs and two sun loungers, so you don't even have to go to the pool to sunbathe. A parasol is provided for hot, sunny days.
